Brandon Reyes

Brandon Reyes, Clinical Counseling Intern

Brandon Reyes (he/him) is following his journey into a second career as a therapist. Born and raised in the DMV, he is currently a Clinical Counseling Intern and student at Southern New Hampshire University. He is a seasoned professional, leaving behind a successful career in the fast-paced and intense world of corporate management. Brandon has decided to pursue a meaningful career in his passion for helping others, which is something that he enjoys and comes naturally to him. Always viewed as someone that people could talk to and connect with, even those who generally do not feel comfortable opening up, Brandon has a knack for holding a safe space for others where they can be themselves and free of judgement. Coming from a diverse background with plenty of experience in working with those from a wide variety of cultures, he is eager to learn about others and help them find their own unique idea of happiness and success. He is an ally to individuals who belong to the LGBTQIA+ community as well as an advocate for social justice and systemic inequality issues. As a solution-focused and strength-based counselor, he is an avid listener and approaches problems with a fresh perspective, sometimes with a touch of humor.

Brandon brings to the table a multitude of life experiences, having weathered his fair share of trials and tribulations. He has personal experience with marriage, separation, and divorce, as well as single parenthood as a father of three. He also brings experience with men’s mental health issues and navigating the complexity of living with those who are suffering as well. Brandon is no stranger to dealing with the ever-growing demands of meeting personal and professional challenges that life throws our way and is excited to help see others through such life transitions and issues. He is looking forward to helping others process their troubles and work through troubles including trauma, grief, sexual issues and more.

When he is not trying to save the world, Brandon enjoys riding motorcycles, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, and spending time outdoors. He is a humble, easy-going person who enjoys finding humor in life and finds pleasure in the little things.
